Message from our Owner, Daniel L. Serven
Ozark Riverview Manor began in August
1980 as a 56-bed Intermediate Care facility, located in a 65 year
old building at 1400 W. Hall, Ozark, Missouri. That building
was 3 stories tall with no elevator and no air conditioning.
In spite of the limitations of the building, God blessed our
business because we put His people first. Our number 1 priority
was to take care of those senior citizens entrusted to our care as
if they were our own parents or grandparents. Our slogan
became: "Hometown People Caring for Hometown People".
In the Fall of 1986, God
began to impress upon me His desire for me to build a new building
so that we could care for more of His people in a kind and
compassionate manner. After many miracles, frustrations,
answers to prayer, and rejoicing, we dedicated our new building to
the Glory of God on July 22, 1991.
We have been deficiency
free as
declared by the State of Missouri in annual inspections for fourteen
consecutive years. Most of our residents come from our
home town, Ozark, and Christian County, as well as the surrounding counties
of Greene, Webster, Douglas, Stone and Taney. Because many new
families are moving to this area, we have also admitted
residents from St. Louis, Kansas City, Arkansas,
Kansas, Iowa, Texas, and California.
On April 25, 1995 we opened our 40 bed
residential care facility, Riverview Residential Place, that
connects to our 90 bed skilled nursing facility. The addition
of this building allowed us to meet the needs of a section of the
senior population that we had not been able to reach before.
This RCF allowed those residents who require less professional care
than those in the SNF to receive the TLC that Ozark Riverview Manor
is recognized as being able to provide. Riverview Residential
Place is a "state of the art" residential care facility.
